March 12, 2019

By David Burger

FDI ADA San Francisco logosSan Francisco — This September's ADA FDI World Dental Congress in San Francisco will feature a series of practice management courses, sponsored by the ADA Council on Dental Practice, known as the team building track, a series that champions quality dental care.

Dr. Stacy Van Scoyoc, chair of the Council on Dental Practice said, "The program features top-rate presenters and there really is something for everyone. I encourage all meeting attendees, regardless of their position on the team, to review the courses' learning objectives and register for as many of these sessions as they can."

Dr. Nima Aflatooni, chair of the council's Practice Management Subcommittee, also encourages meeting attendees to register for team building track courses. "Building and supporting a patient-centric team is a key responsibility for every dentist," he said. "Teams that work in sync with one another have a positive impact on patients and on the success of the dental practice. This track at the ADA FDI World Dental Congress offers attendees invaluable solutions that are both practical and easy to implement in the practice."

Many of the courses in the track are already booked, but here are some with seats available as of March 12:

  • Social Media and Other Electronic Communication in Dentistry (5504), Sept. 5, 3-4 p.m., Dr. Craig Herman, created in partnership with the ADA Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs.
  • I Was on the Internet Last Night (7142), Sept. 7, 8-11 a.m., Dr. Gregory Psaltis.
  • The California Dental Practice Act (7132), Sept. 7, 2-3 p.m., Arthur W. Curley. This course will be repeated (8118) Sept. 8 from 9-11 a.m.
