Celebrate Kick Butts Day on March 20
March 12, 2019
Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that seeks to empower young people to stand out, speak up and raise awareness of the problem of tobacco use in their states and communities.
The next Kick Butts Day is March 20, with more than 1,000 registered events in schools and communities across the U.S. and the world.
On Kick Butts Day, teachers, youth leaders and health advocates organize events to encourage youth to reject the tobacco industry's marketing; stay tobacco-free; and urge elected officials to take action to protect kids from tobacco, according to the website of the organizers of the event, the nonprofit Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.
The first Kick Butts Day was held in 1996.
