New members of Dental Wellness Advisory Committee sought
May 24, 2019
The ADA Council on Dental Practice is seeking nominations to add two representatives from the dental health and wellness community to the council's Dental Wellness Advisory Committee for a three-year term.
The committee is in the process of expanding its health and wellness programs. The Committee primarily has focused on addiction and ergonomic issues and wishes to include topics of nutrition, exercise, stress and burnout, mindfulness and effective stress management in its work. The goal of the search is to find members or qualified non-dentist authorities with experience in these areas to join the committee to help develop resources and provide guidance for members that cultivate a culture of wellness better aligned with their responsibilities as role models to their patients.
Applicants should send their CV and a statement of interest to Alison Bramhall, ADA manager of dentist health and wellness, at firstname.lastname@example.org by July 8. Self-nominations are allowed.
The chosen representative would be asked to attend annual in-person meetings of the committee, scheduled next for March 2020. Members of the advisory committee are also expected to participate in conference calls as needed.
