Chicago Tribune names American Dental Association top workplace
November 25, 2019
The American Dental Association has been named a top workplace
for 2019 by the Chicago Tribune.
Since 2010, the newspaper has used employee surveys to determine the top small, midsize and large workplaces in the Chicago area. This year, the ADA ranked 47th on the list of midsize companies, which included those with 250 to 999 employees.
"It's no surprise that the ADA has been recognized as one of Chicago's best places to work," ADA President Chad P. Gehani said. "The staff at the American Dental Association is quite deserving of this amazing honor. There is an enormous wealth of talent guiding and supporting our efforts to advance dentistry. The team's commitment to excellence shines through in all they do, and I am proud to call them friends and colleagues."
Energage, an Exton, Pennsylvania-based workplace survey and improvement specialist, conducted the engagement survey on behalf of the Chicago Tribune.
More than 3,000 companies were invited to participate, and of those, 255 completed the survey. Their employees responded to statements related to leadership, execution, connection and more at their workplaces, using a seven-point scale.
"What makes a place great to work?" ADA Executive Director Kathleen T. O'Loughlin said. "It's genuinely caring about each other, it's trust and providing a safe environment to say what is on your mind without fear, it's a culture of inclusiveness and equity. It's a family."
