The ADA FDI World Dental Congress commences today with events that tackle the dangers of opioids and bring dentists together from around the world to network and learn on the Exhibit Hall floor.
The Exhibit Hall is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Moscone Convention Center, and continuing education courses begin bright and early at 7:30 a.m.
Oscar-nominated actor and producer Mark Wahlberg will give the keynote address at 5:15 p.m. during the Opening Ceremony and General Session at Moscone, highlighting his work with the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, which travels across the U.S. to spread awareness about the dangers of opioid abuse.
The event, which is sponsored by Laurel Road, will feature award presentations and an international flag ceremony as well.
