August 11, 2020
The ADA will stream a free webinar Aug. 12
to assist dental providers with their applications to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal
and to discuss labor laws and how they apply to dental offices during COVID-19.
The one-hour webinar, Updates on COVID-19: Provider Relief Fund and Labor Laws, is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and is worth 1.25 hours of continuing education credit.
During the webinar, participants will learn about the following:
• Latest updates on the HHS Provider Relief Fund.
• The different types of funding available.
• How to apply for funding before the Aug. 28 deadline.
• The current legal requirements for who is entitled to paid COVID-19 leave.
The Provider Relief Fund was established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act — known as the CARES Act — which directed $175 billion in relief funds to hospitals and other health care providers, particularly those impacted by COVID-19. The portal allows providers to apply for payments made for health care-related expenses or lost revenue attributable to the pandemic. The ADA worked closely with HHS and the Health Resources and Services Administration, which administers the fund, to ensure this funding went to dentists.
For more information about the Provider Relief Fund, the ADA has created an FAQ
on popular Provider Relief Fund questions the Association has received from dentists.
