The ADA Health Policy Institute is hosting a webinar Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. CDT that will highlight new data from private practice and public health dentists collected as part of HPI’s tracking of the impact of COVID-19. Topics covered include patient volume in high and low income areas, dentists dropping out of Medicaid, and hospital operating room time for high need dental patients.

The webinar, “Will COVID-19 weaken the dental care safety net?,” will be moderated by Marko Vujicic, Ph.D., HPI chief economist and vice president, and presented by Dr. Chelsea Fosse, senior health policy analyst, HPI. Panelists include: Dr. Monica Hebl, a general dentist in Milwaukee; Dr. Darwin Hayes, the state dental director of New Jersey; and Dr. Nicole Weddell, a pediatric dentist in Indianapolis. There will also be time for an audience Q&A. Questions can also be submitted in advance on the registration form.
