A Dentist's Guide to Law, an e-book currently available on ada.org.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support dentists during the COVID-19 pandemic, the ADA, beginning March 25 is offering members two free e-books a week:
  •  Until March 31, members can access “Managing the Regulatory Environment: Best Practices” and “A Dentist’s Guide to the Law: 228 Things Every Dentist Should Know” free of charge.
  • The week of April 1-7 will offer “Managing Professional Risks: Best Practices” and “The ADA Practical Guide to OSHA Training: Compliance for Dental Professionals.”
  • The third week April 8-14 will have “Managing Finances: Best Practices” and “The ADA Practical Guide to HIPAA Training.”

“Managing the Regulatory Environment: Best Practices” compiles the most common regulations that impact your dental practice, such as those relative to the Centers for Disease Control, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Drug Enforcement Administration, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and the Affordable Care Act-1557. “A Dentist’s Guide to the Law: 228 Things Every Dentist Should Know” covers legal issues that can arise with practice formation, marketing, employment, privacy and data security, disability access and more based on questions submitted to the ADA by member dentists.

“It’s a constant priority of the ADA to provide up-to-date, trusted resources for dental professionals," said Tony Frankos, vice president of sales strategy and product development. "With this offer, we are sharing increased knowledge and tools to help dentists to minimize negative impacts during this difficult time.”
