COVID-19 PPE and Me: Issues, Questions, Concerns and Workarounds will highlight the results of recent ADA survey data of dentists who responded to questions about the health effects of PPE use during the pandemic.
Moderated by Manish Chopra, D.M.D., the webinar’s learning objectives include:
• Understanding the issues related to enhanced PPE use during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Recognizing the ergonomics challenges and current concerns related to the use of PPE.
• Discussing potential workaround or hacks to improve comfort and reduce injury risks.

Panelists are Tamara James, assistant consulting professor in Family Medicine and Community Health at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina; Timothy Caruso, a practicing physical therapist with a focus on manual therapy, orthopedics and ergonomics; and Robert A. Werner, M.D., professor emeritus in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

This program is partially funded by a generous grant from Crest + Oral-B as part of the American Dental Association’s larger effort to support new dentists and their teams in recovering from the impacts of COVID-19.
