Volunteers conducted screenings and distributed information on oral cancer and smoking cessation at the stadium's main entrance, said Dr. Alan N. Queen, a past QCDS president.

"This is what the dental society should be doing: community outreach," said Dr. Stuart Kesner, a Kew Garden Hills general dentist who chaired the event.

Dr. Kesner's team included QCDS member dentists, residents from Jamaica Hospital and dental students from the New York University College of Dentistry.

"It's a fun event for the members and a great service for the community," said Dr. Kesner.
