Correctional meeting planned for Oct. 15-19 in Baltimore
Baltimore—The 2011 National Conference on Correctional Health Care will convene Oct. 15-19 at the Baltimore Convention Center with the theme, “Historic Times, Extraordinary Solutions.”
Some 2,000 correctional health professionals will gather for the five-day meeting that features more than 100 concurrent sessions, trade show and networking opportunities. The National Commission on Correctional Health Care will host the meeting.
Administrators, counselors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, physician assistants and other correctional health professionals can attend preconference seminars, including in-depth review of the NCCHC prison, jail, juvenile and mental health standards; the welcome reception; opening ceremony and keynote address by Fred Osher, M.D.; educational breakfasts and luncheons; roundtable discussions; informative exhibits; and networking breaks and activities. Attendees can earn continuing education credit, shop at the NCCHC bookstore and view session proceedings on CD-ROM.
