New look for News
A redesign of the ADA News, based on direct feedback from readers and intended to boost the newspaper’s value as dentistry’s most reliable news source, will debut in January.
The new-look ADA News will include a QUICKTAKES digest of breaking news items that have appeared online during the previous week. This digest of earlier news will free limited space for information meant to help dentists build stronger practices and enhance patient care.
ADA Publishing—which produces ADA News, The Journal of the American Dental Association and is a major contributor to ADA.org—polled nearly 10,000 member dentists through the ADA Survey Center earlier this year. In all, responses were collected from 1,275 dentists who were asked a series of questions to assess their thoughts on the ADA News and how it might be improved.
Among other findings, eight out of 10 readers cited the ADA News as their preferred source of news and information about dentistry and the ADA, and about two thirds said they still prefer print publications over electronic media.
The first issue of the new-look ADA News will appear Jan. 2.
