Presidential Whistle Stop courses offer CE and perks
But the special Presidential Whistle Stop courses will let them do both.
Three 1.5 hour course choices are available from 7-8:30 a.m. on Oct. 31, at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, including:
• Communication Is Everything, by Dr. Rhonda Savage, will cover how to communicate better with patients by implementing a clear plan for financial arrangements, increasing case acceptance and understanding how to get patients back in the door. Cost is $50 for dentists, students, team members and guests (course 5181).
• Fit to Lead, by Dr. Uche Odiatu, will help participants understand how health and vitality affect productivity, how to develop fitness habits and increase reaction time and fine motor skills and how regular exercise and good nutrition can improve mental ability. Cost is $50 for dentists, students and team members (course 5180).
• Dental Implants: New Challenges, Complications and Rescue Strategies by Dr. Jon Suzuki, will help participants differentiate peri-mucositis from peri-implantitis, or chronic inflammation of the supporting structures around a dental implant, classify the four states of severity of peri-implantitis and develop appropriate implant rescue treatment plans. Cost is $50 for dentists, students and team members (course 5182).
Participants who attend a Presidential Whistle Stop course also receive a reserved seat for the Opening General Session and Distinguished Speaker Series that begins at 9 a.m. Those who register by Aug. 30 will be entered in a drawing for themselves and a guest to meet President Clinton.
Seating is limited for these courses, so register early.
The 2013 Distinguished Speaker Series is presented by Church & Dwight, the makers of ARM & HAMMER Spinbrush and ORAJEL oral care products. Register or learn more about these and other Annual Session courses and events at ADA.org.
