Watch 'The ADA: Making America Mouth Healthy' online
The video, "The ADA: Making America Mouth Healthy," was created to capture the essence of the ADA and to introduce the Association to a variety of groups, including corporations, allied health organizations and international audiences. It features consumer advisor spokesperson dentists, who highlight three pillars of ADA membership: patient-centered, science-based and ethically driven.
"The patient comes first," Dr. Edmond R. Hewlett, ADA consumer advisor spokesman, says in the video. "Whether it's a routine office visit, dealing with a painful emergency or providing care for someone in need, my goal is their good health." Dr. Hewlett highlights the importance and substance of the ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct.
It also discusses the ADA Seal of Acceptance program, The Journal of the American Dental Association and the ADA Foundation's Research Center.
"The ADA is constantly working to bring new materials and treatments to dental practices," the video says, adding that the Foundation holds more than 100 different patents on cutting edge technology.
