The webinar is free and will take place at 3 p.m. ET on July 27. Preregistration is recommended to participate and providers can also recommend questions they’d like to see answered during the event. This is the first webinar HHS has held on the Provider Relief Fund since announcing the fund was available to all dentists.
The Provider Relief Fund was established by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act — known as the CARES Act — which directed $175 billion in relief funds to hospitals and other health care providers, particularly those impacted by COVID-19. The portal allows providers to apply for payments made for health care-related expenses or lost revenue attributable to the pandemic, HHS said. The American Dental Association worked closely with HHS and the Health Resources and Services Administration, which administers the fund, to implement this for dentists. The deadline to apply for funding is Aug. 3. Before applying, HHS recommends providers first:
• Read the Provider Distribution Instructions Form.
• Download the Provider Distribution Application Form.
