CareCredit, the patient financing provider endorsed by ADA Member Advantage, announced Oct. 22 that it is now integrated into Open Dental practice management software.
The new integration is designed to help dental practice teams better provide patients with a financing options, according to a news release.
According to CareCredit, the integration features CareCredit’s Quickscreen, which enables teams to easily identify patients who are pre-approved or who already have an existing CareCredit credit card directly from the Calendar or Family Module — even before the patient visits the office. In addition, practices can now process transactions directly from the Patient Account Screen and have them automatically post back to the ledger, which may be able to save time and minimize human error. The integration has also made the application process easier for patients. According to CareCredit, when a patient wants to apply, the patient information is automatically transferred to the CareCredit application. Dental team members will only need to complete a few fields of information from the patient and click “submit” to receive a credit decision within seconds.
