The program, Innovation Empowering Dental and Oral Care During COVID-19, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. EDT Sept. 30. It is the first of two virtual programs planned in place of an in-person gala to honor Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry and the Bridge to Peace Initiative with the PICC 2020 Life Sciences, Healthcare and Bio Award for advancing dental and oral care to all, especially those with disabilities.
The Bridge to Peace Initiative provides opportunities for dental professionals to reach beyond political and religious divides, using oral health as a means to improve the quality of life for people of all nationalities.
Another panel during the Sept. 30 program will discuss exploring technological gaps for dental and oral caregivers in the age of COVID-19.
The second program, scheduled for 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. EDT Oct. 21, will bring together health care experts to discuss the challenges of providing rapid COVID-19 testing technologies for oral and dental care providers. Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry and the Bridge to Peace Initiative will also receive their award during the virtual event.
Both programs are hosted with the support of Israel Economic Mission in NYC, Israel Export Institute, Temple University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Al-Quds University.
