Alliance of ADA holds Amazon donation drive for Florida domestic violence charity

The Alliance of the American Dental Association hosts a donation drive each year in conjunction with the ADA annual meeting, and with the meeting moving online this year, so too is the donation drive.

Those interested in participating in the Alliance's Head 2 Toe Project can donate items through Amazon to Harbor House of Central Florida, a nonprofit organization combating domestic violence in Orange County.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Harbor House seeks to prevent and break the cycle of domestic abuse through empowerment, advocacy, education and community engagement.

The Alliance is collaborating with the Central Florida District Dental Association and Dental Society of Greater Orlando to support the local organization, even though the ADA FDC Virtual Connect Conference is taking place online instead of in Orlando, Florida, this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harbor House's Amazon wish list is available at amzn.to/3lK3GFl. Items include cleaning supplies, clothes, diapers, pet food and more. The drive is open through Oct. 17.
