FDI World Dental Congress kicks off virtually in late September

...

Sydney — The virtual FDI 2021 World Dental Congress — Special Edition , hosted by the Australian Dental Association, is scheduled for Sept. 26-29.

Its live-streamed nature gives dentists the opportunity to gather and share with colleagues around the world while never leaving their homes or offices.

“The 2021 congress theme is Educating for Dental Excellence,” said FDI President Gerhard K. Seeberger, D.M.D. “It is under this theme that we look forward to advancing the art and science of dentistry. The 2021 special edition World Dental Congress will deliver a cutting-edge scientific program and interactive exhibition attended by the most prominent figures in dentistry.”

Registration includes a 60-day access period to replay sessions after they have been broadcast during the four days of the event, and the Exhibition Showcase that will allow delegates, exhibitors and sponsors to interact through video meeting features.

The program offers more than 200 scientific sessions, both live and pre-recorded, during the course of the event, with speakers from Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Kathleen T. O’Loughlin, D.M.D., ADA executive director, will be on a Sept. 28 panel discussion titled Symposium: Year in Review (Effect of COVID-19).
