With uncertainty and the unknown people often face, these thoughts come in the form of doubt, worry and stress. And these are linked to a poor attitude, an increase in errors and declining leadership.

Blaze Your Brain: Turn Negative Thoughts into Positive Action (3106), on Oct. 13 from 10:30 a.m.-noon at Jasmine A in the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center, will help dentists create the right mindset when facing these negative thoughts.

Worth 1.5 continuing education credits, the course will be taught by author Jessica Rector, mind wellness and burnout strategist and CEO of jessICAREctor Enterprises, who will guide attendees through her five-step process to identify a person’s exact negative thoughts and turn them into actions that will change how a person works, leads and lives.

Objectives of the course include identifying and correcting negative self-talk triggers to enhance productivity, engagement and patient care; applying the No. 1 way to disrupt your thought process to eliminate bad habits and improve team dynamic; and turning a reactive mindset into problem solving, enhancing adaptability, mood and decision-making skills.

The fee is included with the Smile Pass and Platinum Smile Pass.
