What kind of dentistry/specialty do you practice?
I practice prosthodontics.

Where do you practice?
I currently practice at Erie County Medical Center, where I am also a member of the Craniofacial Team of Western New York, and I am in private practice as well.

Why dentistry?
I was born with a cleft lip and palate, and my best experience was when I had dental implants placed and restored by a prosthodontist. I knew this is what I needed to do, especially for cleft lip and palate patients like me. I love that I can restore a patient’s smile and confidence.

Why are you an ADA member?
I love the sense of community ADA offers. It is a great resource for the dental community.

What was your first job?
My first job was at a retail store as a fashion consultant.

What has been the best time of your career so far?
The best time of my career has been joining the Craniofacial Team of WNY, working alongside the doctors who treated me as a patient when I was young. It has been a dream come true.

When I’m not practicing, I’m: spending time at a coffee shop with my husband and 21-month-old daughter, Zoe. Also, I love riding my Peloton, reading, and going for walks with my husband and daughter.

One fun fact about me:
I have a blog for cleft lip and palate family support with lots of information about cleft journeys at cleftdentist.com.
