The NIH Response to the Opioid Crisis from a Research Perspective [Webinar]

This on-demand webinar, recorded April 3, 2019, presents an overview of the opioid crisis, how addiction is a chronic brain disease, and how the National Institutes for Health (NIH) is addressing the issues through research. The discussion specifically recognizes challenges associated with dental procedure pain management in the context of the opioid crisis, addresses efforts of the HEAL Initiative and briefs the participants on the National Dental Practice-Based Network and ongoing/completed studies related to dental pain management/opioid prescribing studies.
