Overview
When it comes to treating the older adult population, there are vast considerations to keep in mind. From public policy perspectives to impactful chairside application of treatment modalities, this symposium will engage attendees on a number of fronts. This event will reach dental professionals across various experience, interest, and practice environments for an opportunity to engage in a common purpose to serve this unique segment of patients.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this symposium, attendees should be able to:

  1. Discuss and inform healthcare colleagues how the dental profession is preparing to treat the growing population of older adults.
  2. Identify the correlation between oral health and systemic disease.
  3. Describe how various issues create barriers to access to dental care for older Americans.
