Letters: Supreme Court ruling

March 16, 2015 I am writing in reference to “Supreme Court Rules Against North Carolina Dental Board,” March 2 ADA News. In my 30 years of dentistry, I have seen many changes and often times worried how my profession will be affected. While we have been able to dodge most of the dire issues, this ruling has the potential to unravel the basic fabric of our regulatory system.

Even with perceived board bias, I would rather have dentists deciding the fate of my profession rather than more government intrusion!

How on earth can we expect nondentists to decide dental matters? It’s a very slippery slope.
