Letters: ACA reform

November 06, 2017

In the Oct. 2 ADA News article “ADA Urges Senate to Prioritize Oral Health Care in ACA Reform,” the ADA should urge the inclusion of dental care in Medicare to serve the millions of seniors who cannot afford dental care. This would also give the message of the importance of dental care. But its absence sends a message that dental care is not important. When grandchildren hear their grandpa’s dental care is not included in Medicare, they too may question the importance of a healthy mouth and routine dental visits.
