Call for Comments on New ADA Clinical Practice Guideline for the Evaluation of Potentially Malignant Disorders in the Oral Cavity
An expert panel convened by the American Dental Association’s Council on Scientific Affairs is working with the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD) to develop a clinical practice guideline for the evaluation of potentially malignant disorders in the oral cavity and would like to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the guideline’s recommendation statements, which are available below.

The ADA’s clinical practice guideline for the evaluation of potentially malignant disorders in the oral cavity was developed through a review of the best available scientific evidence. This review resulted in the recommendation statements presented above. These recommendations will appear in the clinical practice guideline manuscript when it is published later this year in the Journal of the American Dental Association.

All submitted feedback will be reviewed by the Center for EBD and aid in the development of the ADA’s upcoming guideline.
