Revised Accreditation Standards

On January 31, 2020, the Commission adopted the Accreditation Standards for Advanced Dental Education Programs in Periodontics. Specifically, the Commission adopted revisions to Standard 4-12e, with implementation January 1, 2021.

On August 2, 2019, the Commission adopted revisions to the Accreditation Standards for Dental Assisting Programs. Specifically, the Commission adopted revisions to Standards 2-5, 2-6, 2-7, 2-8, 2-13 and 2-14, with implementation July 1, 2020.

On February 8, 2019, the Commission adopted revisions to the Accreditation Standards for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Programs. Specifically, the Commission adopted terminology revisions from Months to Weeks, and revised Standards 4-3.1, 4-9.2, 4-9.5, and 5-4; and added Standards 4-9.3 and 4-9.4, with implementation July 1, 2020.
