  • Dr. Loree Bolin Receives 2020 American Dental Association Humanitarian Award

    Loree Bolin, D.D.S., of Edmonds, Wash., is the recipient of the 2020 American Dental Association (ADA) Humanitarian Award. Each year, the Humanitarian Award honors an ADA member for improving the quality of life and oral health of individuals in the U.S. and internationally over a period of 10 years or more. Dr. Bolin will be honored at the ADA FDC Virtual Connect Conference, a joint meeting of the ADA and Florida Dental Association, held Oct. 15-17. 

  • John Timothy Wright, James Bawden Distinguished Professor at UNC-CH Adams School of Dentistry Appointed Next Editor in Chief of The Journal of the American Dental Association

    John Timothy Wright, D.D.S., M.S., a pediatric dentist and professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry was appointed to become the next editor in chief of The Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA). The appointment, made by the American Dental Association (ADA) Board of Trustees, follows a national search. The search committee sought an outstanding clinician scientist to fill the role, a strategist and visionary with a national reputation.

  • Dr. Jack Ferracane Appointed Founding Editor in Chief of ADA’s New Open Access Journal

    Jack L. Ferracane, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and director of the Division of Biomaterials and Biomechanics at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry, has been chosen to become the founding editor in chief of the American Dental Association’s (ADA’s) new open access journal.
