Indiana Dentist Installed as American Dental Association Trustee

CHICAGO, October 19, 2020 — Chad R. Leighty, D.D.S., a general practice dentist in Marion, Indiana, was recently elected as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA) at the ADA FDC Virtual Connect Conference 2020, a joint meeting of the ADA and Florida Dental Association.

Dr. Leighty will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees from the Seventh District, which includes Indiana and Ohio. The ADA Board of Trustees formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA’s governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the ADA Board of Trustees, Dr. Leighty will play a crucial role in supporting the ADA’s vision to achieve optimal health for all.

Dr. Leighty has been an ADA member since 1993 and has held a variety of positions within the ADA. His previous positions include the program chair of the former Council on ADA Sessions, Indiana floor leader as a member of the ADA House of Delegates, Seventh District Representative to the ADA Speaker of the House, as well as serving on multiple ADA committees and task forces.  Additionally, Dr. Leighty has been an active member of various organizations, including the Indiana Dental Association (IDA) holding many affiliations, including IDA president from 2015-2016, as well as past president of the Community Foundation of Grant County. He currently is serving on the Grant County Board of Health.
