Good oral health starts with routine prevention efforts. Brushing, flossing, and other daily habits play an important role in preventing oral disease and supporting overall health. The products families rely on every day can add up and put strain on household budgets.
The Oral Health Products Inclusion Act, H.R. 1219, would help make essential oral care products more affordable by allowing consumers to use tax-advantaged Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to purchase eligible over-the-counter oral care essentials.
This legislation would make products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, and mouthwash eligible for purchase with FSA and HSA funds. By allowing consumers to buy these essential products with tax-free dollars, the bill would remove financial barriers to preventive care and give individuals and families more resources to take charge of their own oral health.
Take action today. Write to your members of Congress and ask them to support the Oral Health Products Inclusion Act. Help make essential oral care products more affordable—and help give more Americans the tools they need to protect their smiles and their health.
