CHICAGO, October 30, 2025 — Dr. Richard Rosato, D.M.D., of Concord, N.H., is the newly installed President of the American Dental Association (ADA). Prior to being inducted, he served the Association as ADA President-Elect. Dr. Rosato has been an active volunteer leader and member of the ADA for 35 years. His vast ADA leadership involvement also extends to his representation of the 1st District on the ADA Board of Trustees from 2019-2023, as well as Chair of the ADA Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs.
During his presidency, Dr. Rosato intends to focus on the unity of purpose in the profession, continuing to foster a culture of listening, the importance of the relationship between the patient and dentist and their wellness, and exploring the development of future-focused reports about dentistry and dental care.
“The work is the same — but the purpose makes all the difference. That’s what this profession is about. The belief that every effort, every day, adds up to something bigger: helping people live healthier, happier lives,” stated Dr. Rosato. “That’s why I chose this profession, and it’s why I raised my hand to serve in this role. I traveled the country, heard from leaders and members, and you put your trust in me. And today, I see this presidency as full of possibilities for dentists and patients — now and in the future. And together, we’re creating that future.”
Dr. Rosato is also involved in numerous other organizations. He was named the President of the New Hampshire Dental Society in 2010 and previously served as the Chair of the New Hampshire Dental Society’s Council on Government Affairs. Additionally, Dr. Rosato served on the New Hampshire Dental Society as Long-Term Delegate from 2011-2019 and is involved with the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
“If we want our members to thrive in the future, we must start living in that future now — anticipating change, preparing for challenges and creating what comes next,” added Rosato.
Dr. Rosato graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1994 and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He has experience practicing in a wide variety of practice modalities, including oral and maxillofacial surgery. After his residency he moved back to New England where he currently owns his own practice, Capitol Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, PLLC.
Dr. Rosato resides in Concord, N.H., with his wife Dr. Laurie Rosato, who also practices dentistry, and their three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and cheering for the Boston Bruins professional ice hockey team.
