Thank you for volunteering to serve as a Test Constructor with the Department of Testing Services (DTS) at the American Dental Association (ADA). DTS provides professional psychometric and test development services for high stakes testing programs in dentistry and healthcare.

General Meeting Expectations
We ask that Test Constructors do their best to attend the entire scheduled meeting and give it their full attention and participation.
If a meeting is part of a series (noted in your invitation email), we ask that you do your best to attend all activities in the series.
IMPORTANT: Development of exams rely on subject matter experts such as yourself. If you find that you are unable to commit to a meeting or any writing assignment you may receive for a meeting through the year, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may make alternate arrangements with you and/or an alternate volunteer.
Test Constructor Compensation:
Test Constructors with the department of testing services are offered the following potential compensation:
- Per Day Honorarium of $184 per day attended, rounded up to the next whole day.
- 7 CE credit per day attended, rounded up to the next half day.
- Ex. 2.5 Day Virtual Meeting =
- $184 per day x 3 meeting day(s) = up to $552 for full attendance
- 7 CE Credits per day x 2.5 meeting day(s) = up to 17.5 CE Credits for full attendance
Alternatively, if you have a current item writing contract with DTS, the terms of your contract will supersede the above.
