Take the ADAT at Pearson VUE Test Centers
The Department of Testing Services recommends you schedule to take the ADAT with Pearson VUE at least 60 to 90 days before your desired test date as testing centers book appointments based on availability. Please remember, you may schedule your testing appointment with Pearson VUE only upon receipt of your eligibility letter. To receive an eligibility letter, complete the application form on the ADAT website.
Rescheduling Testing Appointments
If you must reschedule a test appointment, contact Pearson VUE more than 24 hours before the appointment at 1.888.456.2830 or at www.pearsonvue.com
. For example, if your test is scheduled for Wednesday, you must cancel with Pearson VUE before the end of business on Monday. If you do not reschedule more than 24 hours in advance, you will forfeit your entire test fee.
Leaving a message for a local test center is not sufficient; the local test center cannot schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment. The fee to reschedule is $25.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment due to an emergency please contact the Department of Testing Services by emailing email@example.com
or calling 800.232.1694.
Take the Test at a Pearson VUE Test Center
If you have concerns about scheduling issues or testing conditions—or if you encounter any unresolved problem at the test center—inform the test administrator before leaving. Record this information in the appropriate section of the post-test survey. For issues requiring further action, contact the Advanced Dental Admission Testing program within five business days of the testing appointment at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Download the Test Day Checklist
Please download and review this test day checklist (PDF) for a summary of the most frequent issues that create complications for examinees on the day of testing. The Department of Testing Services (DTS) encourages you to read the entire guidebook for the test you are taking and to call the DTS at 800.232.2162 with any questions.
An interactive tutorial is available to download on the Pearson VUE Website. The ADAT tutorial provides information to successfully navigate through the questions and case materials in the examination. The tutorial is also provided at the Pearson VUE test centers prior to taking the examination.
