Intraoral Scanners

Intraoral scanners are growing in popularity, but are they worth the investment? That’s the question the ACE Panel explores in its new report.

With input from 369 ADA members, the report provides insight how dentists feel about the advantages, disadvantages, treatments, and training associated with intraoral scanners. The hope is that the ACE Panel’s experiences will help fellow dentists to better assess whether they should invest in such instruments.

Check out the report, published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, to see how your clinical experience with scanners aligns with those of your colleagues and to learn about tactics for selecting scanners and ensuring their accuracy.
