ADA Clinical Evaluators (ACE) Panel
The Great American Smokeout is scheduled for November 18. The annual American Cancer Society event is an opportunity to prioritize smoking cessation, and the ADA Clinical Evaluators (ACE) Panel is here to help with its latest report.
With input from 283 ADA members, the report provides insight how dentists approach smoking cessation counseling and treatment, including strategies for talking with patients and dealing with insurance companies. The hope is that the ACE Panel’s experiences will help fellow dentists to better engage with smokers, vapers, and smokeless tobacco users.
Check out the report, published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, to see how your clinical experience with smoking cessation counseling and treatment aligns with those of your colleagues and to learn tactics for approaching these crucial conversations with patients.

ACE Panel Reports
ACE Panel Reports are generated from your input in short studies about these experiences. Then, with guidance from the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs and Product Evaluation subcommittee, the ADA Science Institute staff compiles and shares the data with the ACE Panel members.
With an average time commitment of less than 10 minutes a month, the ACE Panel offers panel members with:
