Robert Quashie Promoted to American Dental Association Chief Operating Officer

CHICAGO, March 7, 2022 — The American Dental Association (ADA) announced effective immediately that Robert Quashie has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).  As COO, Quashie will design, implement, and monitor an effective operating model and annual operating plan for internal performance and governance; manage the long-range ADA strategic plan and goal planning process; facilitate the ADA’s enterprise-wide Agile program through ADA teams, spearheading all Agile enterprise-wide initiatives and projects.

“I look forward to helping the association advance so that we’re meeting the future-focused needs of the public and the profession,” Quashie stated.

In his prior role as Senior Vice President (SVP), Operations, he managed the Operations Oversight Senior Management Team and was responsible for advancing growth, sustainability and capacity measured under the ADA Strategic Plan. Quashie will continue this work in his new role. Previous to holding the position of SVP, he held the position of Vice President, Business Operations and Strategy, where he successfully delivered optimum results against the strategic and operating plan goals. Additionally, he served as Vice President, Member and Client Services, leading the team and executing dues streamlining strategies. His initial introduction to the ADA in 2015 was as the Director of Business Analyst, providing consulting services to all ADA Divisions.

A proud graduate of Grinnell College, Quashie studied business strategy and management at Illinois Institute of Technology and Kellogg School of Business, bringing more than 20 plus years of experience in program management, marketing and business development.
