Dental Insurance 101: A Beginner's Course for Office Staff [Webinar]

Are you a new office manager trying to navigate dental insurance?  Or a dentist starting a new practice or did you hire new front office staff who are trying to file claims?

This on-demand webinar will explain the basics of how PPO plans and networks operate so that both new and existing office staff will be better able to support patients presenting with these plans. Dr. Amrita Patel, a general dentist from New York, will keynote this educational course on dental insurance.

Upon completion, participants will:

  • Gain a basic understanding of coordination of benefits rules and will learn of available educational resources from the ADA.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of participating provider organization (PPO) plan designs and how these plans manage care by controlling costs.
  • Have a better understanding of common contractual clauses and the national processing policies within PPO agreements and the potential financial implications on a typical dental practice.

This no-cost webinar is another of the many ways the ADA is working to support our members by providing valuable educational resources on dental insurance issues for dental practice managers and front office staff.
