ANSI/ADA Standard No. 3950, Dentistry – Designation System for Teeth and Areas of the Oral Cavity
- This International Standard provides a system for designating teeth or areas of the oral cavity using two digits.
ANSI/ADA Standard No. 2000.8, SNODENT (Systematized Nomenclature of Dentistry)
- SNODENT is a standardized code set for the representation of clinical oral health descriptions that is interoperable across healthcare systems and with electronic health record systems. It provides a clinical terminology that enables the capture and analysis of detailed oral health data, including oral anatomical sites, oral health conditions, findings and other clinical concepts unique to dentistry. ANSI/ADA Standard No. 33, Vocabulary Used in Dental Standards Development
- This document defines terms used in dental product standards and aims to facilitate the standard development process and the comprehension of standards, and to improve communication with ISO, the FDI World Dental Federation, the World Health Organization and other organizations interested in standardization.

Proposed ANSI/ADA Standard No. 214, Dentistry – Designation System for Supernumerary Teeth
- This document establishes comprehensive methodology for designating supernumerary teeth in humans, as well encompassing a cross-coding system that combines the ISO 10394 two alphanumeric characters system with the Universal Numbering System's two numerical characters system.
Proposed ANSI/ADA Standard No. 218, Dentistry – Designation Systems for Teeth and Areas of the Oral Cavity
- This document provides two systems (Universal/National System and International Organization for Standardization system (ISO 3950:2016)) for designating teeth or areas of the oral cavity using two digits and a mapping between the two systems.
Proposed ADA Standards 1119, Dentistry – Designation System for Tooth Developmental Stages
- This document specifies a method for designating the coding and nomenclature for tooth developmental stages using a single letter and number to facilitate data entry and support interoperability.
